11. How is travel invoiced?

We understand that NDIS funding for provider travel is subject to specific limits.

Russell Occupational Therapy is a mobile service, and we travel from our Mount Barker base to support participants across the Adelaide Hills, metropolitan Adelaide and surrounding regions.

We aim to make travel work wherever possible. Where the travel time required exceeds the amount that can be claimed from a participant’s NDIS plan, Russell Occupational Therapy absorbs the additional travel time rather than passing this cost on to the participant.

Where possible, appointments in the same area may also be coordinated to help minimise travel costs.

Travel arrangements will be discussed with you or your support team when services are booked.

12. Does invoice time only include face-to-face sessions?

No. Not all invoiced time is face-to-face. In line with NDIS pricing arrangements and price limits, invoicing may include:

  • Preparation and follow-up work

  • Liaison with other health professionals or support services

  • Travel time where applicable

This ensures that the care and recommendations you receive are comprehensive and fully supported, even if not all activities occur during your direct appointment.

The length of assessment and a relevant follow up/reports depends on your individual needs, goals and the type of service required.
